Job Title: Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Our client, part of a global group, is a market leading designer and manufacturer of high value, high technology products, which it supplies to worldwide markets. As part of their continued investment into product development, they are now looking to strengthen their design / development team with high calibre Senior Electronics Design Engineer.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will take responsibility for the hardware design, development, test and manufacturability of the electrical and electronic components within the overall product range. Sometimes working on your own, or as part of a small team, you will ensure that the product meets all technical and manufacturing requirements, liaising at all levels with other internal departments and suppliers. This will involve providing technical advice on what can be made, taking a lead in engineering activities such as DFMA.
As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, ideally HND / Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, you will be able to demonstrate experience and a successful track record in electronic hardware product development, including the use of complex PCB's. A background in low volume, high technology products is preferred but not essential. The ability to communicate effectively and to challenge existing practices is also required. Knowledge of FPGA, VHSIC, VHDL etc. will be of benefit.
