This is a new role. There’s no-one currently managing HR so you’re in the lead from the start. Establishing, setting up and implementing systems which work for the business will be critical from the beginning. As will the ability to build relationships with the key people in the business, and provide first line advice on all things HR related, and probably more! You’ll be involved with HR strategy, talent succession and set up the department to be able to grow as the business does.

But you’ll need to know what you’re doing. You’ll have relevant HR qualifications, and be able to talk about where you’ve had impact and delivered change with new ways of working within a previous business. You’ll have developed leadership skills and be able to show your HR and ER knowledge through relevant application and examples.
